The Dark Side

A police detective exiled from Earth arrives at Purgatory, a lawless lunar colony built for criminals, fugitives, and profiteers. He is pulled into an investigation of murders and political maneuvering involving the colony’s ruling power and his ambitious daughter.

In parallel, an amnesiac android programmed with the Brass Code crosses the Moon toward Purgatory, interpreting its ruthless philosophy literally and leaving a trail of bodies behind him. The two threads unfold separately for much of the book while the world of the lunar colony is gradually revealed.

As corruption, violence, and power struggles intensify, the detective’s case and the android’s journey move toward a final collision. The story combines investigation, lunar survival detail, and escalating brutality inside a bleak future settlement on the far side of the Moon.
