The Story
Dante Valentine, a necromancer and bounty hunter, has been trying to recover and keep to herself when the Devil calls her back into service. Lucifer offers her the role of his Right Hand and demands that she hunt down four demons who escaped from Hell, while promising protection and other benefits in return.
The assignment quickly exposes deeper danger: the bargain is tied to Hell’s internal politics, a brewing rebellion, and hidden motives that Dante is not told up front. At the same time, her relationship with Japhrimel becomes a central strain in the story, as secrecy, mistrust, and unequal power repeatedly shape how they deal with each other.
As Dante follows the Devil’s orders and pushes for answers about her own transformation and future, she is pulled into battles, threats, and shifting alliances. The story builds toward larger conflict in Hell and leaves major questions open, with Dante increasingly forced to decide whom she can trust and how far she is willing to go.
