More about this book

The Story

Hope and Wolfe were linked long before the story begins: he was created in a lab, she was the scientist’s daughter, and a mating bond formed when they were kept together. After Wolfe marked Hope but refused to complete the mating because she was too young, a lab disaster and years of separation left Hope believing he was dead.

Years later Wolfe returns convinced Hope betrayed him, based on lies and manipulated evidence from her mother. He kidnaps Hope and uses sexual torment and pressure to try to force a confession, while Hope insists she never betrayed him and only survived the years apart by believing he would come back.

As the truth about the scientist’s scheme comes into focus, Wolfe and Hope must confront the manipulation that shaped their separation and face the danger still surrounding them. Their conflict resolves through the revelation of who has been lying, followed by a rapid romantic reconciliation and a hard-won end to the scientist’s plans.
