The Story
Harmony Lancaster, a lion Breed known as Death, has spent years on the run after escaping labs and using her skills to kill predators and other targets she sees as deserving. Her actions and the secret information she carries make her a target for Breed authorities, human authorities, and enemies of the Breeds.
When her brother Jonas captures her, he offers her a chance to avoid harsher punishment by working in a small New Mexico town as a deputy under Sheriff Lance Jacobs. Lance and Harmony are drawn together immediately, but their attraction is entangled with hidden agendas, mating instincts, and the knowledge that Harmony’s information could matter to the future of the Breeds.
As threats close in, Harmony has to confront what she is, what she wants, and whether she can trust love without losing herself. Lance tries to protect her while also navigating the larger conflict around Breed politics, old secrets, and the danger surrounding Harmony’s past.
