More about this book

Story

After a violent storm damages a small Maine town, David Drayton and his young son head into town for supplies. A strange mist is moving across the lake, and once they reach the supermarket, it closes in around the store.

Trapped inside with other townspeople, they try to understand what is happening outside while power outages, fear, and bad decisions turn the store into a pressure cooker. As the threat in the mist grows clearer, the people inside begin to split into factions and survival becomes as much about human behavior as about the creatures outside.

The story follows the escalating crisis inside the store as hope, panic, and belief systems collide. David is forced to make choices under extreme pressure while the situation keeps narrowing toward an uncertain end.
