More about this book

The Story

Two years after a catastrophic event, Adam, Sarah, Mia, and Sarah’s brothers are surviving on the move in a broken future England. Adam’s ability to see death dates has made him famous and dangerous to know, while Mia’s changed number makes her especially coveted. The family keeps trying to stay ahead of people who want Adam’s gift and Mia’s secret.

When armed newcomers offer safety, the family is pulled into a hidden government operation that quickly turns coercive. Adam and Sarah are separated, Mia is tested, and the truth behind Mia’s number and other unusual powers begins to surface. The situation becomes a fight over control, exploitation, and survival as the captors’ real motives emerge.

As the pressure builds, the family’s secrets intersect with a larger question about life, death, and what these powers actually mean. The final stretch centers on escape, revelations about the children’s abilities, and the consequences of the choices made to protect one another. The book closes the trilogy with a resolution that ties together the central mysteries while leaving a strong emotional imprint for many readers.
