Violet Is Nowhere

Violet wakes up in a locked cabin with no memory of how she got there, a note, and a phone that can call only one number. The note gives her a deadline and implies that finding her connection to the man on the other end is the only way out.

That man is Bud, a reluctant, skeptical construction worker who initially thinks the call is a scam. As the two strangers keep talking, they trade clues, personal history, and suspicion while trying to understand why they have been linked.

The story unfolds through alternating first-person chapters from Violet and Bud, gradually layering in the broader implications of the situation and the world around them. The puzzle deepens as the deadline approaches, pushing them toward a final reveal that changes how the whole setup reads.
