Nocturnal

Homicide detective Bryan Clauser and his partner Pookie Chang investigate a string of grisly murders in San Francisco. The case begins like a police procedural, but Bryan’s disturbing dreams, strange evidence, and pressure from superiors suggest the killings are tied to something much larger than a lone murderer.

As the detectives keep digging, they encounter a shadowy vigilante, a bullied teen with the same dreams, and a growing cover-up that pushes them off the case. Clues lead them toward a hidden society beneath the city and a long-running conflict involving killers, science, and inherited power.

The investigation gradually turns into a battle against an underground race that comes out at night. Bryan’s own connection to the killings becomes central as the story escalates into horror, action, and revelations about who he is, what he can do, and which people around him are in danger.
