The Story

Megan is a high school student who feels like she never quite fits in until she becomes close with LC, a charismatic new friend. Their bond seems to give Megan a clearer sense of herself, but it also pulls her into a dangerous situation tied to secrets, drugs, and hidden motives.

After a night meant to celebrate their friendship goes wrong, Megan wakes up in the wrong body and realizes her life has been taken over. She has to survive while pretending to be someone else, figure out what LC has done, and keep others from discovering the truth.

As Megan digs deeper, she encounters betrayal, suspicious adults, and the fallout of a much bigger scheme involving identity, technology, and harm aimed at Black girls. The story moves toward a tense confrontation as Megan tries to reclaim her body and decide who she can trust before time runs out.
