The Story

Seventeen-year-old Rosemary Collins is obsessed with the VIGIL & ANTE movies and the fandom around them. She expects movie magic, spoilers, and red-carpet spectacle, not proof that the franchise is hiding a real world of superheroes, villains, and secret government operations.

When the supervillain Ironfall recruits her under threat to her parents, Rosemary is forced into a dangerous double life. She must navigate blackmail, secrets, undercover work, and her own conflicting feelings while keeping up the fiction that the movies are only movies.

As Rosemary gets pulled deeper into the hidden superhero conflict, loyalties blur and the people around her prove more complicated than they first seemed. The story builds toward a cliffhanger turn that leaves the bigger conflict unresolved and sets up the next book.
