The Story

Cameron Winters has spent years hiding her ability to read minds while living under her grandmother’s strict protection. When a new boy, Lewis, appears and seems to understand her secret, he offers her a way out of her isolated life and toward other people like her.

Cameron follows Lewis to a secluded haven where mind readers are trained and protected, but the place is not as safe or simple as it first appears. As she learns more about her abilities, she is pulled into shifting loyalties, hidden motives, and a conflict over how mind readers should be used.

As Cameron tries to decide who to trust, she is forced to weigh family warnings, new connections, and the possible misuse of her power. The choices she makes threaten her safety and her relationship with Lewis, and the story builds toward a cliffhanger ending that opens the door to more conflict.
