More about this book

The Story

Princess Firebird is raised in a rigid royal culture that treats spare heirs as expendable and expects them to die honorably in service. When she is sent on a deadly military mission, her fate changes after she is captured by enemy forces instead of dying as planned.

Among her captors she encounters a telepathic warrior and a very different worldview, including a faith she has never known. As she is pulled into interplanetary conflict, she begins questioning the beliefs, loyalties, and duty-based identity that shaped her life.

The story follows her inner and outer struggle as war, politics, and romance collide. Firebird must decide whether to keep living, what faith to trust, and what new future she can claim when her old one no longer holds.
