Juniper Unraveling

After bombs and contagion have shattered civilization, survivors are divided into the pure, the infected, and the monstrous Ragers. One community hides behind a wall while another part of the world is controlled by harsh forces, labs, and deadly experiments.

The story is told in two parts and through two female perspectives at first, gradually revealing how their lives connect. Wren, a girl on the safe side of the wall, encounters a mute boy from the other side named Six, while Dani’s chapters show a far harsher existence among capture, captivity, and institutional cruelty.

As the hidden links between the characters and timelines come into focus, the story becomes a survival-driven romance with twists, violence, and long-buried truths. The second half shifts after a major time jump, forcing the characters into changed roles and raising the stakes around love, identity, and survival.
