The Story

In a near-future society, everyone is fitted with an M-Band that tracks personal data and rates compatibility with others through pheromone-based technology. Negative ratings can mark someone as a danger to society and lead to removal, questioning, or rehabilitation.

Maggie Stevens has spent years preparing after her father was taken away under this system. To reach him, she needs access to the corporation and the people behind the technology, including Quentin Mercer, heir to the powerful company that controls the M-Bands.

As Maggie carries out a risky plan, she has to balance deception, family loyalty, and growing emotional entanglements. The story builds through secrets, reversals, and escalating danger, ending with major unresolved tension that points into the next installment.
