What begins as a regulatory review quickly turns into a dangerous inquiry when the promised benefits of the drug are overshadowed by hidden side effects and people connected to the project start dying.

As the investigation deepens, the protagonist uncovers a web of corporate greed, scientific manipulation, and government pressure. He is drawn into uneasy alliances, romantic tension, and escalating threats while trying to determine who can be trusted and how far the conspiracy reaches.

The story builds through rapid reveals, murders, and repeated reversals as the drug’s true nature comes into view. By the end, the investigation collides with shocking violence and an ending many readers found abrupt, surprising, or divisive.
