Double Dead

Coburn is a vampire who wakes from a long forced sleep to find the world overrun by zombies and human blood scarce. Zombies cannot sustain him, and the new world is dangerous even for an apex predator.

To survive, he must hunt for living humans and eventually strikes an uneasy deal with a group of survivors. In exchange for blood and transport, he protects them from zombies and from the many other threats of the wasteland.

Their journey becomes a violent road trip through a collapsed America filled with cannibals, hostile survivor groups, and other monstrous dangers. Along the way, Coburn is pushed toward reluctant loyalty, harder choices, and a more complicated relationship with his own humanity.
