Stranded

Sophie Arundel, a university student, and Hugo are unexpectedly transported by a lift into 1925 England. Sophie is there with her dog Charlotte, and both must learn to survive in a grand house and adapt to unfamiliar rules, manners, and social expectations.

As they settle into their new circumstances, they discover this is not quite the history they know. Key events have unfolded differently, the world around them is more unstable, and the path back home depends on uncovering the secret of the portal or lift that brought them there.

While Sophie and Hugo search for answers, their relationship shifts and romantic tension builds, but the larger mystery remains unresolved. The book ends with dangling questions and sets up the next installment in the series.
