Dragon and Thief

Jack Morgan, a teenage former thief hiding from false accusations, is trying to stay out of trouble when he finds the wreck of an alien ship and its lone survivor. That survivor, Draycos, is a warrior-poet from a symbiotic species that must attach to a host to live.

Forced into an uneasy partnership, Jack and Draycos must learn to trust each other while navigating enemies, secrets, and a widening conflict tied to attacks on Draycos’s people. Jack’s own problems are tangled up with crime, deception, and powerful forces that want him caught.

As they travel through space and face escalating dangers, the pair work toward clearing Jack’s name and uncovering who is behind the threats to Draycos’s species. The book resolves part of that struggle while setting up larger unresolved questions for the series.
