Magic at the Grand Dragonfly Theatre

Violet and Iris Ashmore grow up in their uncle’s Grand Dragonfly Theatre after their parents are taken away for their magic. Iris performs onstage and uses sleight of hand to distract attention, while Violet keeps her true power hidden.

Their carefully balanced life is disrupted when Alec, a young man in debt and working under pressure, infiltrates the theatre to uncover its secrets. As he gets closer to the sisters and the troupe, the line between performance, deception, and real magic starts to blur.

The story follows their shifting loyalties, growing romances, and the risks of being discovered in a world where magic users are conscripted for war. The theatre’s people, secrets, and stagecraft become central as the characters move toward a resolution that leaves some things settled and others still open.
