The Story

Giannine Bellisario visits a gaming center for her birthday and chooses a total-immersion virtual reality game set in a medieval fantasy world. Inside, she becomes a girl of secret royal birth and must navigate a dangerous succession quest filled with riddles, rivals, monsters, and strange game-like rules.

While she is playing, protesters damage the gaming equipment, trapping her in the simulation and making it impossible to disconnect safely. If she cannot win the game before time runs out, the injury from the malfunction may become fatal in real life.

Giannine has to keep restarting after each in-game death, learning from mistakes and trying different choices to survive. As the pressure rises, the story follows her repeated attempts to beat the game, outwit the obstacles, and find a way back out alive.
