The Hunt

Gene lives in a world where vampires dominate society and humans are nearly extinct. To survive, he follows strict daily rules to hide his humanity and blend in at school and in public.

When a lottery selects him for a ritual Hunt for the last surviving humans, Gene is pulled into a dangerous training process among hunters who would devour him if they discovered what he is. As the Hunt approaches, his disguise gets harder to maintain and his private feelings become more complicated.

The story builds through suspicion, secrecy, and escalating danger as Gene navigates close calls with the vampire society around him. The book ends with unresolved threats and a strong setup for continuation.
