Pressure

Off the coast of Mauritius, the ocean floor is collapsing and an ecological disaster is unfolding. Carrie Anderson, a world-class free diver and marine biologist, joins a scientific expedition to find the cause and stop it. What begins as an investigation into a strange underwater phenomenon quickly becomes far more dangerous when the team encounters something monstrous in the depths.

After a dive goes wrong, Carrie is forced to recover from the experience and confront what she saw beneath the surface. As she returns to the water and the mystery deepens, the story expands beyond the expedition itself into conflicts involving a corrupt corporation, armed operatives, and efforts to control what has been discovered. The danger grows from a single undersea anomaly into a wider threat with major consequences.

As the plot progresses, the story shifts from underwater survival and creature horror toward conspiracy, espionage, and a race to contain the fallout. Carrie and her allies must navigate betrayal, violence, and competing agendas while trying to stop the disaster from spreading. The narrative ends with the characters confronting both the immediate monster threat and the larger human forces around it.
