More about this book

The Story

Santa Olivia follows Loup Garron, a girl born in a forgotten border town after a genetically altered fugitive passes through a military-controlled no-man’s land. Raised amid poverty, occupation, and secrecy, she grows up trying to hide the unusual abilities she inherited from her father: speed, strength, and an absence of fear.

As Loup matures, she is drawn into the life of the town’s orphaned kids, local clergy, and neighbors who live under the army’s rule. Their pranks and acts of resistance gradually turn her into a masked symbol for the town, as she takes on the identity of Santa Olivia and begins using her gifts to push back against the soldiers and the injustices around her.

The story also follows Loup’s emotional life, her family ties, and her relationships with the people who protect her and challenge her. Boxing becomes a second major path for her future, shaping her choices as she moves from hidden child to young woman deciding how much she is willing to risk for freedom, love, and her community.
