More about this book

The Story

Callie Hayes, dissatisfied and fearful, volunteers for a psychology experiment that promises money and a chance at a better life. When the program turns secretive and threatening, she tries to back out, only to be dropped into a strange and dangerous otherworld.

With minimal supplies, a manual, and cryptic guidance, Callie must navigate a hostile landscape filled with traps, strange beings, false hopes, and shifting alliances. She meets other participants and figures who help or hinder her, including a man who seems to know the Arena better than anyone else.

As Callie pushes toward the Gate and the possibility of escape, the journey forces her to confront fear, trust, temptation, and the meaning of faith. The story follows her struggle to survive the Arena, understand its rules, and decide whom to trust before the path home closes.
