The Revenant's Heart

Lucy Sullivan, a med-school dropout and taxidermy hobbyist, takes a job at a secret research facility that houses monsters and treats its unusual residents. She is assigned to Subject X-14, Victor, an undead, stitched-together creature with severe trauma, a hunger for human flesh, and a dangerous history with his creator.

As Lucy works with Victor, their clinical relationship turns into fascination, attraction, and growing emotional attachment. The story builds through treatment sessions, tense trust-building, and a shift from facility-bound doctor-patient interactions into a more dangerous second half after a kidnapping and escape.

Victor’s desire for revenge against the one who made and abused him pulls Lucy into the conflict, forcing both of them to confront consent, trust, and what it means to care for someone who may be dangerous. The story moves toward action, emotional payoff, and a happily-ever-after ending within the larger connected series world.
