Long Distance

Vega is unhappy about leaving Portland for Seattle and missing her best friend, Halley. Her parents hope summer camp will help her adjust and make new friends, but Vega would rather hold onto her old life.

At camp, Vega meets other kids who are also struggling to connect. Strange details start piling up: broken communication, odd counselors, weird food, and a growing sense that the camp is not what it seems. The campers begin working together to figure out what is going on.

As Vega and her new friends investigate, the story shifts into a surprising science-fiction mystery. Along the way, Vega has to rethink what friendship means, whether old bonds can survive distance, and how new connections can grow without replacing the ones she already has.
