Ninja Kid

On his tenth birthday, Nelson Kane discovers that he is no ordinary kid: he suddenly has ninja abilities, perfect vision, and the sense that his life is about to change forever. He lives with his mother, inventor grandmother, and hungry cousin Kenny in a junkyard full of useful odds and ends.

As Nelson tries to understand his new powers, family secrets come to light and he begins training with the help of his grandmother’s inventions and his cousin’s chaotic support. School trouble, a bully, and strange dangers push him to test what he can do.

The story builds toward a town-level threat involving giant spiders and other outrageous hazards, while Nelson learns to trust himself and work with his family. The book ends with a hook for the next installment in the series.
