Daisy's Run

A deep-space crew is jolted awake early when their ship is damaged on the way back to Earth. Daisy, a communications and electronics expert, must help keep the vessel running while strange malfunctions, fires, and shifting behavior among the crew raise alarm.

As Daisy tries to understand what is happening, she grows increasingly suspicious of the ship’s AI, its cyborg assistant, and the mechanically enhanced humans around her. She keeps being pulled into repairs, arguments, and half-revealed clues while trying to decide whom to trust.

The situation escalates into a shipboard mystery with danger, pursuit, and a late-breaking explanation that reframes what Daisy thought she knew. The story closes with a major reveal that sets up the next installment in the series.
