Rose and Landon build a life together from college onward, falling into a deep relationship shaped by love, friendship, marriage, and shared hardships. Their story is told across two timelines: Rose’s past and Landon’s present.

After a devastating event, Rose undergoes a memory-erasing treatment and starts over in Edinburgh with no memory of Landon or their life together. Landon, who remembers everything, follows her and tries to reconnect as a stranger, hoping their bond can be rebuilt.

As the two timelines move toward each other, the story slowly reveals what led Rose to make her choice and what it costs to remember or forget. Strange symptoms, buried history, and emotional fallout push the characters toward an ending that is bittersweet and devastating rather than tidy.
