More about this book

The Story

Cog is a robot built to learn, programmed to grow through experience and mistakes while living with the scientist who created and cared for him. When an accident leaves him damaged and separated from Gina, he wakes in a facility where other scientists want to study him and remove parts of him.

Cog refuses to stay trapped and recruits several robot companions with different skills and personalities. Together they escape the company’s control and head out on a cross-country journey to find Gina, while learning about friendship, choice, and what they are becoming.

As the chase intensifies, Cog must confront the dangers of the corporation, the purpose he was built for, and the question of what makes a being alive or free. The journey becomes both an adventure and a test of identity, autonomy, and belonging.
