Light Years

At Quatra Fleet Academy, students from across a solar system are brought together for the first time after a long period of exclusivity. The academy is preparing cadets for military service while the wider political situation remains tense, and several students arrive with secrets, pressure, and something to prove.

The story follows four main cadets in alternating perspectives. They come from very different backgrounds: one steals an identity to attend, one is trying to earn approval and status, one is hoping for belonging, and one is secretly there on a covert mission. As they train, compete, and form relationships, they also have to navigate prejudice, rivalries, and the possibility that the real danger may be inside the academy.

Their squad must learn to work together through tests, rankings, and missions while outside threats close in. As trust grows and secrets begin to threaten their bonds, the book moves toward an unresolved ending that sets up the next installment.
