The Stranger

Max is an aimless, nocturnal man from Earth whose dreams lead him to a strange parallel world. There, he is offered work and a place to stay in a magical city unlike his own, where everyday life runs on unusual customs, spells, and jokes.

He joins a secretive investigative force and begins solving odd magical cases while learning the rules of this world. The story moves through a series of linked adventures, with mysteries, conversations, food, and the details of Echo’s eccentric society carrying much of the narrative.
