Evie Tanaka works behind the scenes for her glamorous best friend Aveda Jupiter, San Francisco’s beloved superheroine. Evie keeps the city’s publicity machine running, manages Aveda’s demands, and helps care for her younger sister, while quietly hiding powers she does not want the world to see.

When Aveda is injured, Evie is pushed into posing as her in public. That decision pulls Evie into the spotlight, exposes more of her hidden abilities, and forces her to navigate demons, gossip, team politics, and a complicated romance while trying to keep everything under control.
