More about this book

The Story

Eight graphic short stories unfold in loosely connected worlds where ordinary life keeps tilting into the uncanny. Characters navigate desire, identity, family, work, and social unease while fantastical or speculative elements interrupt familiar settings.

Some stories center academic, urban, or diasporic characters; others move through mythic, futuristic, or dreamlike spaces. Across the collection, bodies, maps, cities, creatures, and relationships become ways of exploring gender, belonging, and transformation.

Rather than building to one linear plot, the book accumulates linked moods, motifs, and echoes. Text and image often work together or against each other, leaving room for ambiguity, rereading, and multiple interpretations.
