The Story

In a world where everyone knows the day they will die, Denton Little is an early with only two days left, and his deathdate lands on senior prom. As he moves through the rituals of his final hours, he tries to make sense of a strange new urgency in his life, including awkward firsts, shifting relationships, and a growing sense that his carefully normal existence is no longer simple.

After Denton wakes up with gaps in his memory and a mysterious purple rash spreading on his body, the day turns into a scramble for answers. A stranger’s warning about suspicious government figures suggests that his deathdate may not be the whole story, and Denton has to decide what to trust as the hours keep running out.

What starts as a funny, morbid countdown keeps widening into mystery and conspiracy as Denton pieces together clues about his mother, his friends, and the system that predicts death. The story follows him through his funeral, family tensions, romantic complications, and a high-stakes final day that may not end the way he expects.
