The Story
Thousands of years after humanity’s collapse, robots built from preserved human minds have spent centuries cleaning, rebuilding, and repopulating Earth. Their society is orderly but uneasy, and attempts to recreate humans have largely failed or been restricted.
That changes when Eve14, a newly created human girl raised in a lab, enters the care of Charlie7, an elder robot with status, influence, and a long history in the rebuilt world. Charlie quickly realizes Eve’s creator has dangerous plans for her, turning a protection assignment into a race to keep her alive.
As Eve leaves confinement and learns the wider world, she becomes caught between robot factions, hidden motives, and the unresolved consequences of humanity’s extinction and return. The story follows their struggle through escalating pursuit, secrets about creation, and a looming series-scale conflict over what humanity should become.
