The Story
Roselle grows up in a rigid society where firstborns rule and secondborns are conscripted into service. As the second child of a powerful family, she is public property in a life watched by cameras and shaped by duty.
On her Transition Day, Roselle is sent into the military, where her training and loyalties are tested by rebellion, political maneuvering, and enemies inside and outside her own faction. Her choices draw attention, suspicion, and danger as she is pushed into a war she did not choose.
As Roselle builds alliances, confronts betrayals, and develops a charged connection with Hawthorne, she begins to question who controls her fate. The story follows her struggle to survive, protect others, and claim a future beyond the role assigned to her.
