Last Exit

Ten years after a group of college friends discovered they could travel between alternate realities, their attempt to find a better world ended in failure, loss, and rupture. Zelda has spent the years that followed moving through the United States, fighting the rot that spreads between worlds and trying to undo the damage they caused.

When proof emerges that Sal may still be alive, Zelda brings the group back together, adding Sal’s younger cousin June to the mission. As the friends cross broken realities and revisit the past, they must confront what happened on their original quest and what their failures changed in themselves.

The journey becomes both a rescue mission and a reckoning. With the rot spreading, old bonds tested, and the alts growing more dangerous, the group has to decide whether they can trust one another enough to try again—and whether they can still imagine a world worth saving.
