The Vampire Tapestry
A solitary biological vampire poses as a professor, but exposure forces him into a chain of human entanglements.

The Story
Dr. Edward Weyland lives as an anthropology professor while hiding a biological vampire nature that lets him feed on blood, hibernate for years, and pass as human. His quiet cover begins to crack when a woman on campus senses what he is and acts against him.
The middle of the book follows the aftermath of that exposure through linked stories: captivity, exploitation, and attempts to recover, alongside encounters with a teenager, a psychotherapist, and other humans who alter Weyland’s path. Each section reveals him from a different angle, building a partial picture of the creature and the people drawn into his orbit.
As Weyland is pushed into closer contact with human life, art, therapy, danger, and attachment complicate his predatory detachment. The final movements bring the vampire closer to self-recognition and to the consequences of living too long among his prey, ending on a hard choice about survival and distance.
