Anna

A deadly virus has wiped out the adults, leaving children behind in a shattered Sicily. Anna, thirteen and nearing the age when the illness awakens, survives by scavenging with her younger brother and following the survival notes her mother left behind.

When her brother disappears, Anna is forced out of the family refuge and into a landscape of abandoned towns, burned fields, feral children, and dangerous survivors. As she searches for him, she gathers allies and confronts how little the old rules still matter.

The journey becomes a test of endurance, loyalty, and the possibility of hope in a world that seems designed to end with childhood. The story follows Anna’s effort to keep going, protect her brother, and invent a future from ruins.
