Crown of Thunder

Taj has escaped Kos, but the damage left behind continues to follow him. With Queen Karima hunting him and the city falling further under dark magic, Taj must travel west, survive danger, and figure out what his abilities actually mean.

Along the way, Taj and Aliya reach the homeland of a new community of sin-eaters and learn that their powers are tied to larger traditions, rival approaches, and deeper truths about sin, guilt, and balance. Aliya also pursues secrets connected to Karima’s magic while dealing with her own changing condition and future.

As Taj, Aliya, and Arzu make new allies and uncover more about the world beyond Kos, old loyalties are tested and the threat of Bo and Karima closes in. Taj has to decide what he owes his people, what forgiveness means, and whether he can face the fight that will determine the future of his home.
