More about this book

The Story

Seri lives in a world where her people survive in tree settlements and rely on valiants to hunt dangerous beasts and protect expanding communities. She joins the orbit of a legendary commander and begins learning more about the rules, dangers, and powers that shape her world.

When Seri meets Tsana, a stranger who can communicate with the beasts, everything Seri has been taught starts to unravel. As the two grow close, Seri is forced to question the conflict dividing their peoples and the truths behind the beasts, the unknown world, and her own past.

The story builds toward escalating danger, revelations, and a looming war as Seri, Tsana, and the people around them are pushed to choose between violence and peace. The narrative emphasizes discovery, shifting loyalties, and the effort to bridge two worlds before destruction wins out.
