The Story
Marin lives on an isolated island shaped by an extreme day-night cycle: long years of light end with a long night, and the islanders follow strict rituals before evacuating. As night approaches, Marin, her twin brother Kana, and their friend Line are caught in the middle of the departure process and a growing sense that the adults are hiding something important.
When Line goes missing, Marin and Kana try to find him before the ships leave. Their search turns into a race against the changing island as the darkness closes in, the weather turns cold, and the danger connected to the night becomes impossible to ignore.
Left behind with little guidance and fewer answers, the three teens have to navigate the island, its rules, and the creatures or forces that come out after dark. The story follows their attempts to survive, uncover what the night really is, and find a way to escape before it is too late.
