More about this book

The Story

Izzy and a close group of friends are under heavy pressure to succeed at a prestigious school and avoid failure in their exams. When Tigs finds a study pill online that promises better focus and memory, the group decides to take it as a shortcut through revision.

After the exams, the promise of easier studying curdles into something far worse. The teens begin losing sleep, seeing strange things, and growing increasingly frightened as the drug’s effects intensify and their trust in one another starts to fracture.

As the group struggles to stay awake and figure out what is happening, the story turns into a tense survival race with violent and unsettling consequences. The ending is left unclear and open to interpretation, with readers strongly divided over what it means.
