Tyler Barton’s life is shaped by a disappearance in the Canadian mountains: years earlier, his mother vanished while hiking, and the area was shut off from ordinary search efforts. When, on the anniversary of that loss, his father’s plane goes missing in the same remote region, Tyler refuses to accept the official answers.

Determined to find his father, Tyler heads into the prohibited wilderness alone. The farther he travels, the more the landscape seems wrong: the woods are heavily monitored, the terrain is dangerous, and something strange and secret is hiding beyond the perimeter. He begins to encounter creatures and signs that suggest the forest contains more than natural threats.

As Tyler pushes deeper, the story shifts from survival trek to a broader mystery involving military control, hidden experiments, and monstrous discoveries. With help from unexpected allies and mounting horrors around him, Tyler must keep going through a landscape where nearly everything he learns raises new questions.
